to Dave Brubeck

my so dear friend…the death also visited you yesterday…my two great friends, Oscar Niemeyer, Dave Brubeck…Dave, take five…take a rondo a la turk…the so great songs of your master interpretation…I like to play your music pattern…I recognize your influence every time I can sit down in front of my acoustic and old piano…almost every time  after opening the piano dashborad and playing jazzy for a while, I play some improvistion upon ‘take five’…perhaps five elements in art: air, fire, earth, water and love…somehow my friends are my family…I belong to a small family…and a big family: this big friendship…people like Oscar, Dave, B.B. King, Tony Bennett, Bob Dylan, Philip Roth… and so many others…I know I will die some day…and every death shall not be an extraordinary event, but for me any death is an extraextraextraordinary event…because a part of mine dies too when a friend dies, when people in the world are reached from the death…today I played three improvising and performatic piano songs…one for Oscar…the other for Dave…the other for you…without you, how can I keep on living…how i keep on writing…why I keep writing?…because love remains…birth and death are two wings of a blue bird…flying with no return…writing jazzy…I want freely…writing for share…life…joy…throwing away my blues…without you, my writings would be a collection of unreaded phrases…without you, I do not exist…I get my blues and send joy for my friends, my dear family
